Hi everyone! Hope you all are good. I've been thinking about some stuff and it's bothering me so much I wanted to ask SDN. So Touro.. I looked at the NYMC residency list and they have a 6 year MD omfs program and I just wanted to know that if I attend school there.. would it be good to have that advantage, provided I have the grades/EC's/etc? Do schools like having people from their own place go into their residency?
Also I am in a fix thinking about attending Touro. , for a private school I calculated the cost I'd be incurring attending there which is less than posted because I'm staying on my parent's insurance. So my debt with just subtracting health insurance is gonna be around 360k total but I know with shopping around for room and board as well as some personal expenses my parents will be paying for I can come out with 330k ish. Do you think it's best to go to Touro where my debt is 330k compared to NYU, UDM, Boston, Midwestern? I know the school is new and all but honestly they have so many health professions schools that I don't think it's gonna be too much of an issue and literally over half the faculty is from Columbia. Plus the class size is small. So I wanna know if it's worth going there than incurring 450-500k debt at other private schools?
