Well congratulations!🙂 I have received nothing from them yet. I am to receive the letter in India. Could it be possible that the letters to people who are waitlisted are send by regular mail (instead of ups) ?

I have my interview this coming Thursday 11:xf:. In your experience, my question is; how long do they take to let you know if you were accepted?, in other words, how long does "THE LETTER" takes to get to your mail box? Second, if you don't get accepted, do you receive a letter any way?😕
 
Hey, any news from 23rd Feb batch interview...i called NYU today and they told no decision has been taken yet. Be in touch and good luck for the results.

It will take around 15 days....but few people got it even after month....If someone not accepted then they send letter mentioning that u r in wait list....but no rejection letter right now....

Hello everyone,
congrats to those who got acceptances from NYU and good luck to those who are still waiting,
I am looking for a roommate to share my apt which is very near to the school( 5 min walk to the school) and a great view ,very convenient, and at an affordable price to stay in Manhattan within a very comfort and safety zone.
The apt is a gated community , with all the amenities, 24 hour doorman, in house laundry etc,So whoever is interested can e-mail me at [email protected].i will respond asap.its not temporary, the lease is going to be at least for an year

From February 16th- till now, there have only been 2 acceptances that have come forward.
There were 4 interview dates
Feb 16
Feb 18
Feb 23
Feb 25

(on average 13 each day being interviewed, we are looking at about 50 people waiting to hear back)

I think thats a great idea, last years batch did something similiar. Facebook is a great social media, but a google group will help us with discussions and topics that pertain to finance, loans, housing , visa etc and allow for disucussions. Count me in.........how do i join?

Almost 54 students have already joined facebook, I dont think there is need for another group. This will probably put some students away from real batch, so join facebook group and no other. Thanks:🙂)

I have a one a question to all those who already got their acceptance...
Do NYU send their decision with USPS mail or just a regular mail if a candidate resides within US.? Does the type of mail depends on your result like if its acceptance, so they will send through USPS and if waitlist, then through just regular mail.

it not depends on the type of mailing. For US residents they send regular USPS mail and it could be anything acceptance or waitlist. Hope this will help...🙂

Smyl, I understand there is a facebook group already in place but I know there are people who dont want to join facebook or have already cancelled their account for whatever reason. Hence, this google group might be of some help to those as well as others.

Thanks to god and every member on SDN. Atlast, i got my acceptance letter from NYU. Received on 03/13 and was posted on 03/11. My interview was on 23rd Feb. I want to join the NYU 2013 group. Plz let me know how can i join. Thanks to everyone and who ever needs my help can reply back. Thank you so much. Go ahead and join the Google group that faith12 has started, it will let us progress forward to the upcoming steps.

Info packages were mailed out on Friday, so next week we all should receive them.
In the event, there is a delay, we can work together to resolve this and move forward to steps such as
1) Health/ Immunization requirments
2) Visa
3) Finances
4) Laptop and suggested handheld devices

One step a time, for now its time for let out a deep breath and get ready for all the prep prior to June 1st. Furthur informationa and inquiries can be found in the group via group email.
 
Congratulations for getting into NYU. 🙂 Its really stressful finding an apartment esp when you have so many other things on ur agenda to do in a short period. We can help you. We have a room to rent at Waterside Plaza. Its a two bedroom apartment with a living room converted to third room. The apartment is 5 minute walking distance from school. The monthly rent ($1050) and security deposit ($2900) can be further discussed over phone. You will get your security desposit back after the lease ends. Room will be available starting June 1st, 2010. We prefer a female roommate. Presently, there are two dental students (female) from D3 living in the apartment. It is a pretty spacious room facing east river. The apartment is very clean. We need a roommate that treats the place like home.

HI,
Just look up the most common questions for interviews ,specially here on SDN in the interview feedback section. Also know your personal statement and application details well. They ask very general questions. They conduct a personal interview, so the questions will be very general, no theory. Above all don't stress yourself. Be confident and present yourself well🙂

After your interview, how long did they say it would take until you received a letter?
They told us 7 to 10 days but I don't know if those were business days or not. Please let me know.

I realized that not everything is about the stats. There other factors they consider as well. Therefore I would like to share some points of my app.

My application includes:
12 years practicing Dentistry back in my country (I am not old OK, just kidding, but really I am not old, just started early), 4 in emergency room, several researchs, 7 years working in rehabilitation, general anesthesia and IV sedation experience, 1 year of post doctoral in Fixed Prosthodontics, I was approved in a General Practice Residency program here in Miami starting this coming June, 5 years working as a Dental Assistant in the US in a highly advance practice.
