Holden, the reason they didn't invite you to interview until you sent them your second DAT scores was because i think their PAT cut off is a 14 or 15. I'm so upset I still didn't hear from them after interviewing in September

I am surprized you still haven't heart anything back from NYU 😕 Your stats look competitive enouph to be accepted by NYU, I think. Have you tried calling them to find out your status?

Bullfan I called on Wednesday but make sure you call Ms. KNowles directly because when you call the admissions office they tell you that they can't give you any info over the phone. It took my letter 7 days to get here! It was sent on dec. 1 and I got the letter on dec. 8. So my advice is be patient and good luck.

I too am waiting to hear from NYU. I was waitlisted last year on June 1st and am still considered a waitlisted student (I know of at least 1 other person who is in this situation). My stats:

If you are talking about me, i should let you and others know that being on waitlist for 2 years did not change anythinge eventhough my grades are within their range. I took my name off of waitlist, had them discard my old file, and applied as a fresh applicant this year. No news yet though (applied in Sep)..... and with what i am seeing, it looks like there will be a long time before i hear anything.

Just wanted to tell those that are being patient that Ms. Knowles told me that so far they have received over 2400 😱 applicants when I interviewed on Wednesday. Pretty incredible. Be patient 👍 because she did say the admissions office is swamped.

Dude, like I said in another thread, can you please stop with this Berkley is the #1 school in the world crap? It's a decent school, but it's certainly not the best school on the West Coast, let alone the world.

In terms of NYU, a lot of people don't like the size and cost. However, if you liked the school, no one should tell you how to feel.

i like the city,but the school the students the administrators were all boring. the students said that they wouldnt come here again is they had a choice. and i hate the idea of having 200 students then splitting them up. you wont get to know everyone. it just felt bad there. not worth the money.

You only need a few good friends. You all have lecture together, just the lab is split up. Honestly, in lab, you really only get to know the people sitting around you so it doesn't matter that they split you up.
