It seems NYU is going strictly by GPA without considering how best you scored in NBDE or TOEFL or whole application. I have seen people who got accepted till now is above 3.4 GPA.
so their cut off GPA is something around this.

in that case why do they call us for interview and wasting our money, time and hopes.

i agree,today nyu told me that everything will be finalised within 2 weeks,lets wait with fingures crossed.😕
 
what is the worse is they simply called us interview just for sake. they (NYU) will be knowing the accepted list well before calling us interview. Just for formality sake they called us. this irritates us most.

However I have already gone through this process.Its very very frustrating.😱

I know it could be frustrating not getting in I have passed similar situations and I know what ur feelings are right know ,but if u were interviewed u still have a chance ,if not maybe next year or not next year but other school.which I know sounds terrible .Now ,ALL SCHOOLS have the same procedure they know before hand who are the candidates they are looking for and who are the ones for backup ,its not only NYU .I did travel two times to florida one for bench exam and one for interview and still I was waitlisted and I am pretty sure they know that I wasn't in but still they are not going to say that .About gpa I dont know this year but last year some students got in with gpa less than 3 .not everybody who is accepted knows about this website .even if they know maybe they dont want to publish their gpa . so please do not blame the school that u choose to go .

how do you know that you are wait listed? did they send you any letter to you ?

I received my acceptance letter on march 27 th, may b iam the last one to get the acceptance letter.
i was interviewed on feb 5th
Can anyone tell me wats the next step, like how to find an accomodation near the school, prefer to stay near the campus.
Is there anyone looking for the same thing.please let me know

this is fyi......you are not the last person to get the acceptance letter..100 more letters are yet to reach their destinations...

yes i got my admission packet on monday 31st. and u will get it soon. but the problem is, i was not ABEL TO GET MY NET ID WITH THE N NUMBER 😡, i called them and they said they have some problem with new n numbers and ASKED ME TO WAIT FOR A FEW DAYS i think some of u will have the same problem. if so, inform them. ALL THE BEST FOR EVERYONE.

oops! sorry!
N Number is nothing but ur unique university ID number which u will get in ur admission packet.
using ur N- Number u have to get the web id or net ID NUMBER BY LOGING INTO THE nyu HOME PAGE.
This gives u access to all information regarding the NYU like student information, housing, international student information...etc.

you can replace the number 100 with .... majority..... after my interview on march 6th , director of admissions clearly mentioned that unlike last year they are gonna wait till the last batch of interviews are done and only thereafter they are going to decide upon the acceptances...

i understand the curiosity.... but we have to face the music.... its part of the play...

i called them in the morning around 10 am central time... they told me that my application is pending....its gonna take some 10 days or 2 weeks... for any final decision...

nothing wrong to call them...atleast it will solve your curiosity..

Yeah I got the packet today and could not access it. The N number doesnt seem to work.
 
[In the past I was acepted with only 85 and 3.3 GPA I remenber they give the aceptance letter in July for next year this is the difficult part wait

Hi! when you got your letter ? Hey guys, somebody told me that they ( NYU ) don't send rejection letters, unless you didn't participate to the interview. The people who were interviwed , will receive only acceptance or waitlisted letters. Is it true? That means that waitlisted means......... ...........rejection😕....but in an elegant manner😀

Hey I just want to tell u all ,my husband called to Nyu to ask my status and they said they already made the decision and send the letters but they didt reveal the result ,just waiting for the mail today keeping my finger crossed!

Hi Victory ,my husband asked about my status only and they said they have made decision and send the mail last week ,else they didt say anything they have sent all the letters togethr\er to all of us .lets hope for the best

yeah here are my stats 86 part 1, 3.00 gpa of bds, 101 toefl, 3.88 gpa of public health, 2 months and still continuing observership and 2006 december pass out. finally no use now confused what to do next?😡

When did you receive the letter? today? Was regular mail ?

well my inrterview was on feb 28th and yeah i got the letter in a regular mail today. Does any one have the exact idea what would be the chances for the waitlisted.
