Hi...just wondering with a 3.3 if i have a chance at any of NYU, Columbia, Harvard, UMDNJ (NJ dental school)????

I haven't taken the DAT yet...so what would i need to get into these schools?

THANKS!🙂

I don't know about Harvard but you have a good shot at the other three.

Sorry I didn't see the second part: at least 19's across the board.

Thanks PashaJ!
I know what I need to do now.

Harvard: slim chance
NYU: good chance
Columbia: need 20+ dat
umdnj: good chance if u're in-state.

Speaking from personal experience, if you have a 3.3 GPA and DATs of 19 (+1/-1) across the board, you will likely be a shoe-in at NYU and UMNDJ (I'm in-state though, so I don't know about out-of-staters)

(yes, I opted to get
outta jersey 🙂 )

Harvard: almost no chance (unless you get like 26+ on DATs and even then, I'm not so sure your chance is that good)
NYU: good chance
Columbia: possible (just make sure you get at least 20 on DAT)
umdnj: not sure

NYU - good chance
Columbia - need minimum of 20 on DAT

Don't know about the rest......

Thanks for your help guys!

Also, if you have some research experience, you have a high chance of getting into columbia, I think. I'm saying this cuz my interviewer asked me about my research experience while other schools never even mentioned about it.
You have a high chance of getting into NYU with 3.3 provided that you do okay on DAT.

Which would u choose?

NYU or Columbia?

columbia without a doubt

Just remember to apply early. Even if you take you DAT later just send in your app in June. I would try to take the DAT before September. Good Luck.

YES...applying early ...that's good advice. Do i need to receive individual apps from each school or is it all online or something?

You need to apply through AADSAS then the schools will send secondary apps.
