NYU do we need internet in dorms/apts?

I will start D1 soon but still looking for a right place to live. There's so many options given from OCHO. I hope you guys could help me out!

I'd like to know how important it is to have access to the internet from where you live.

If you stay in NYU dorms, there is free internet available. If you stay off-campus housing, you will need to get internet access (unless you want to travel to the library every time you want to check your email). I have internet + cable through RCN Cable. That is one option.

There us wireless internet at NYUCD and the libraries and NYC is packed with WiFi hotspots. so basically anywhere.

^^^Yeah, I remember lamenting that the Marcel didn't offer internet service until I turned on my laptop and scanned. I picked up a dozen wi-fi signals in my hotel room and 3/4ths of them were unencrypted and wide open.

^^^ The hotel they recommend that you stay in for your interview visit. It's just down the road from the school.
