NYU Financial aid

For those of you who will be attending, have any of you been awarded financial aid? If so, when did you send your deposit to confirm your spot at the school. If no one has been awarded financial aid does anyone know when we will find out? When do we receive the money? And finally does anyone know if they will have to go to private lenders (other than canadians), or will we get enough money for tuition and housing from filling out the fafsa?

I received my package. It came through an email to your NYU account--have you set all that up yet? Once you get the email from financial it, it directs you to Netpartner where you enter in you N-number and the temporary password they provide.

I'm pretty sure the money is physically disbursed close to beginning of school, so sometime in August (based on experience).

Nobody should have to go through private lenders---via gov't aid, you should get about 100k...subtract 63k in tuition/fees and you're left with about 37k to last you through the year for your living expenses.

Thanks. Yeah I set up the email account a few weeks ago, but still havent recieved anything in regards to financial aid..
