Great News for all you smarty pants. NYU will be providing free tuition for all accepted. I believe this will also cause other schools to lower their tuition.

What incentive do other schools have to lower their tuition? I see none.

NYU offers free tuition, that's nice. Guess whose admissions process just became extremely cutthroat/selective? Imagine all the application fees flying their way...

There's still a huge disparity in the number of applicants vs number of available seats across all medical schools. The demand far outstrips supply, and with student loans, medical schools can charge just about anything they want, despite whatever NYU does tuition-wise.
