The only school that has not replied to me is NYU. If I haven't gotten a letter by now does that mean I won't be accepted or they're still reviewing my application and I still have a chance? Any thoughts on this will be helpful.

It probably means that, at least for NYU, you may need to get yourself set to re apply.

At this point in the game, it would probably take an act of god for them to review your application and decide to interview over taking someone who is waitlisted.
