NYU interview invitation - 2010

So far NYU have sent interview invitation for 100 students and have already interviewed nearly 25 students. Not many inputs in this forum. Frnds share your int experience here. Help others.
 
How do u know that 100 ppl have already been invited? pls let me know, last yr there i/v was till march.

Its just a guess. If I am not wrong NYU interviews on tuesday and thursday with atleast 10 students in a batch from the week of Jan 11th. It have opened slots till Feb 15th approx 10 days with 10 students gives you 100 students.

Good luck to all waiting. Those who attended the interview pls let other know what is going on in NYU.

interview with nyu ,as everyone says, was casual. it all depends on your application what they ask you and whats in store for you at the interview. just know well about NYU and yourself🙂
we were around 13 people, interviews took place first , then Q/A session with the head of admisssions and then we had a tour of the school, lunch and thats it.
we were informed that we might be able to hear from them after the end of this month of our status of application...maybe around february after the jan interviews are over.. but i dont know till when they will be conducting interviews and they did not tell us how many applicants will they be inviting overall.

I was interviewed at NYU on Jan 12th
They told us it was the first batch, but they had interviewed some misc applicants before that.
NYU is a great school, I loved it.
The interview was very nice, people are friendly, I have never seen such a student/staff relationship. they are great people.
The interview itself was stress free, I can't say the name of the person who interviewed me. I am sorry.
They told us something very imp. If you get an interview then it means that your scores and application are good enough for the school. the only thing left is YOU as a person and a student.
My problem with NYU is the same problem of all other applicants, 3 years. and it is very busy and difficult school, and basically they give you dentistry all over again, NYC is expensive and hectic city too.
But I won't turn it down if I get accepted.

hi ,just now came to nyc from europe ,its my 1st time here,its crazyyy!!!!i love to live here👍
i have my interview on 21st!will put my experience as soon as i get them!

me too I'm anxiously waiting for the IV invitation. Let's hope we receive it sometime this week or the next.

hi..even i am waitin eagerly for the magic call....!!i dont know why they are not callin reapplicants...!!are their anyone among reapplicants or waitlisted ladt time got a call this year..?

hey dont worry!!! they have called people with 83 and 82!!!!but i dont knw at the same time they havent called people with 89/90 with a very gud gpa too.so this shows either they are looking for something different from crowd!!!or they are looking for overall package with score and gpa...
even i am worried. my stats are 88/3.74/110 .waiting for a call with hope against hope as the days are passing!!!!!

hey canine wer do u live in canada even i stay here and i have the same score as yours, but my GPA is less. lets see wat happens.
 
how many weeks in advance does NYU send interview emails ?

I am a re-applicant. and I was interviewed on Jan 12th.

I was also waitlisted last year but no call this year. I dont know why they are not calling re-applicants??

smyl:: my stats a very average 84/113/3.69
one year observership in home country and 3 mnths in USA.
i hope we get interview soon, i guess they havent started giving interview calls for feb.
what about you?

i had my interview today!nothing difficult just general qs like why usa why dentistry and why nyc,the interviewer was lovely !i hope they let me in!dont worry at all,just review the sdn for interview qs and thats more than enough!good luck to all of us:luck:

My stats are:
NBDE PART1 - 86
Tofel -94
GPA - 3.5
1 year experience in home country.

Keep your figure crossed. I am planning to take the interview in first week of Feb. will update my interview experience later on.
