I just received an e-mail interview notification from NYU 🙂

I was wondering if there were updated stats available regarding the number of interview invites each school extends? Do early interviews give better chances at acceptance? Can anyone guide me to such information?

what date was the second batch?

my aadsas was sent out 6/22
my application was completed 7/11

yeahhhhh, where's my interview? 😛 it is all good. just gotta be patient and not let this stuff get us thinking pejoratively. it is expected that not every school we applied to will grant us an interview.

I read in an old thread (2006 I believe) that they interviewed 700 people and accepted around 450 of them for 230ish seats.

I'm not sure about now?

WOW i can only hope that those numbers are pretty close to the actual data. Over half of interviewees accepted 🙂))

Yes, bring flats to change into because you will be doing a lot of walking (~10 flights of stairs). It's ok that you change into flats. You can leave your belongings (even your luggage) in the admin office. 🙂

Hi there 🙂 For me, it took 10 days. I really have no idea how they choose to invite people. I was fourth batch for the AADSAS application and was the 1st batch to receive an NYU invitation. I already had my interview. The school is wonderful! I'm sure you will hear from them soon probably the end of next week or the beginning of the following week 🙂

I hope the interview went well for you!! I was in the 4th batch as well and my interview is scheduled for sept 27. What was the style of the interview? One-on one with a professor or student? I also heard it's typically a stressfree, conversational-type of interview. Is that true?

Thank you! 3.73 from NYU and 18 AA and TS. I think my extracurriculars helped my low DAT, and I volunteered at nyu's dental clinic for two years.

I would love to get an interview but my GPA's way lower than urs..

I just got my app out on 8/24 so Im not sure how long till NYU gets it processed and schedules me for my interview...but I definitely look forward to visiting the city, its been awhile since I been in NY.

I got my app out 8/10. So a little over 2 weeks for me.

I had called in a favor to see if it would help any but the person at the school basically said my profile was average and that wasnt gonna cut it and to retake the DAT
