When you say research program, do you mean getting a Ph.D with your DDS? I didn't know that NYU had a dual degree program.

We mean the summer research program that they offer to D1's before the school year starts. It runs June 2- July 25th.

No, if you apply to the d1 research program it's completely free. i think they send a letter along with your admissions letter that explains it... also something about applying for a living stipend for those months if you sign up (if you need $ for a place to stay).

Also planning on signing up.

i just sent the deposit today via express. so they'll send a e-mail after they received the $$$ to let you know they've secure your spot or something? i'm also thinking about doing the research! where are you guys from? so excited! 😀

I'm from San Diego. I sent my deposit a couple days ago and it should have gotten there today. I emailed Eugenia to make sure but she said the mail takes a couple days to process.
I'm also thinking of the research thing, gives me a chance to get to know the city better. But only if they pay for it all, I can't afford to live there without aid.

nah, i didn't get anything related to the netid (or nyuid). i clicked the link "need to activate your nyu..." -> clicked the start on the top quarter of the screen then entered social sec # dob and my current email address. you get your id from them, mine were my initials followed by 4 #s. your nyu email address ends up being that nyu netid they gave you followed by @nyu.edu

If I remember correctly from last year, you can create an alias e-mail address of whatever you want. If you go digging around your NYU home page, you will find it.

Oooh, figured it out. The SSN needs to be in 000-00-0000 format (i.e. with dashes). The 000000000 I was using wasn't cutting it.

They should tell us that.
