I submitted my application to NYU in october and I know that they've deposited my application fee... but I haven't heard anything from them. And it says on their website that they don't post their decisions on the AADSAS website. How would I know that my application at NYU is complete? Should I call them to find out? HELP PLEASE... thank you 🙂

i guess you can call. NYU gets LOTS of apps. My LORs got there in late august, and i was completed mid October. no word yet either, so im just riding it out :xf:

They will send you an email when your application is complete, meaning they received your AADSAS app, DAT score(s), and LOR.

I interviewed at NYU in Oct and they have kept the status of my application updated on AADSAS through the process so far.
But as the above post states, they will send you an email when it is complete. My AADSAS was mailed to schools on 7/10 and my app was not "complete" at NYU until 9/17 even though I had sent everything in.
It takes time because they do have so many applicants.
Good Luck👍

NYU updates thier status on AADSAS. They've updated mine to Application Complete. You should call them up.

Submitting your application in october would make you applicant# ~3000 at any dental school. I do know of someone who submitted his NYU app around November and got in. Of course, he had an older sibling who was still in the program and scored a 24 on his DAT. So the moral of the story is: you are probably looking at applying again next year, unless you have exceptional circumstances.

hey i am not getting responses after my app. complete email for a while i think my stats are competitive and i have a sibling in NYUCD program. i was really expecting a interview invite from NYU and still waiting. I applied pretty late it was mailed in mid september.

I am also wondering if a having a sibling in the program helps me in admission process

Perhaps your sibling can stop by the admissions office and do a little schmoozing since they are in the same building all day, unless your sibling is not liked by the faculty. I would contact your sibling and ask them to kindly stop by the admissions office and get the low down.
