I live in NJ and I just got an admit from Buffalo ( I was waitlisted ). I am pretty set on NYU and now wondering if I should even think about buffalo.

From a fees perspective the difference is honestly not much , from my calculations it could be 30K at the max over the period of the program.

I know I will save a year , but then being in buffalo means I need to stay away from my family for 2 years.

Any thoughts ?

If you graduate a year earlier from a 2 yr program means you have a yr's experience more and also you will be having a yr's pay in your account that should be in six figures, again it depends on your priorities

My honest opinion -
Stay where ur family is !

20-30 yrs from today when u will look back - those 2 or 3 yrs in life wont count tht much ,30 k wont be a big problem, what i think matters the most is our family and relationships. U will surely enjoy the dental school wen ur with your family , u will be much more relaxed .
Good luck with whatever decision u make.

I think a year saved is always good. We have a limited amount of time to live. however, when you look at it this way; you will miss 2 years without family. The $75k buffalo charges for the summer course is insane!! so not much difference tuition-wise. Tough choice but always good to graduate early.
