Hi, anyone knows if NYU gives priority to the instate students, or they have equal number of seats for instate and out of state?

It's probably one of the most oos friendly schools out there lol. I think it's top 2 in oos friendly.

But is the seating 50:50?

It is a private school. They don't have a preference. But you will many students from around the region because many people want to be close to home.

Thanks folks!

In terms of seats though, Howard doesn't compare to NYU lol.
Oh it was a joke! Because Howards in DC so technically everyone going there is out of "state".

Do you know what the other OOS friendly school was? (Or was it Howard?)

Howard makes sense but if you're talking about seats (which also means a higher chance of acceptance) then no, it isn't Howard. I think it was another New York school.

Even though schools claim to have no preference when choosing between in state/out of state, their numbers tell a different story. You have a better chance of getting interviewed if you live in the state.
