Has anybody who got acceptance in NYU got any Scholorship Offer? What do you guys think about the chance of getting scholorship in NYU?

They don't tell you about scholarships until April. I'd say you have to be near the top of the class to even be considered for one as it is the case at most schools.

they said at my interview that they are eliminating first year scholarships.

Basically, many of their top applicants come and dont do so well, rank below top 10% of class...
so they are instead making it that the top 10% of the class at the end of freshmen year will be offered some form of $$.

They want you to come to NYU because you want to, not because they offered you money.

NYU does give out scholarships. About two weeks after receiving my acceptance letter, I received another letter telling me that the Scholarship committee had reviewed my academic credentials and they were going to award me $25,000 for the 2007-2008 academic year. The scholarship would be renewed annually as long as I maintained a 2.0 average. I don't know how common that is but it happened. So, there is hope. 🙂
