Hi guys, for NYU's secondary, I am wondering what did you guys wear for your photo that you have to submit. Did you guys go out to take a passport style photo or did you guys just crop out a picture from any old photo.

I was curious about this too. I went and got pictures taken. It took like 5 minutes and cost me 4 dollars for like 18 photos at the JCpenny photo place. I wore a suite, hopefully they aren't laughing when they get it and everyone else sent in their facebook profile pic.

I don't remember having to submit a photo to them. I got the application complete email though. Is that only if you get an interview?

"Interviews and tours are by invite only. The NYUCD Office of Admissions begins conducting personal interviews in mid-September. Those candidates invited to the College for a personal admission interview will be given a tour of the College. A NYUCD supplemental application for admission will be provided at the time of the interview. Candidates invited for an interview must also provide a color passport-sized photo."

Cropped a photo taken at college graduation

I used my facebook profile picture for the schools that required 2x2 photos.. I honestly can't see them caring that much as long as you don't look ridiculous in the picture.

Did you guys just develop any picture and cut out a 2x2 crop of it? Does the head have to take up a certain amount of the picture like in an actual passport picture?

Just follow the instructions they sent you, anything you're pondering beyond that is just over-thinking. Relax! (No, I doubt they'll care how much of the picture your head takes up, just make sure your head and face are clear and fit within the "passport sized photo" dimensions.)

I wouldn't bother developing a picture and cutting it though, seems like way more work than necessary. Can't you just take a picture or have someone take a picture, shrink it down on your computer and email it?

got passport style photo. Wearing a black polo, nothing special.
