NYU still reviewing my file?

So I interviewed with them back in October and still did not recieve any word. Called in today and it turns out that no letter has been sent to me and that my file is still "under review."
Does any1 know what this means? I mean they have had plenty of time to review my file obviously... Im so dissapointed.

Maybe your stats weren't good enough for a first round acceptance, taking your interview into consideration, and they want to see who all accepts and offer you a spot for the second round, they want to interview everyone before making a decision on you to see how you fare against everyone else.
Thats all I can think of. Since I am not a ADCOM I cant really make a definitive answer

man this sucks because they told me when I called Dec 1 that a letter has been sent out to me.
Any1 know when the second round of acceptances might be?

Im actually analyzing this all day and I cant decide. Is it better to be on the waitlist than in my situation? And if they werent sure dont you guys think that they would have put me on the waitlist? Grrr I want to go to Dental School so bad and this is just so upsetting 🙁

dont fret,youre gettin an acceptance letter jan 15th for sure. lots of people dont go to nyu,and im sure lots of spots will be/are still open.

I haven't gotten anything from them either and I intervied back in early Nov. I called today and was told that if you interviewed pre-dec 1st that something for you is in the mail...now i'm all confused.

yea its really weird. I called them twice fri and mon and both times they said that my letter is mailed out and I should get it shortly. Something is fishy.

uhm okay. I just got the letter and I am waitlisted 🙁
