NYU transcripts

I just spoke with NYU and they said they have everything in except for my transcripts, which they said is AADSAS's job to send. I submitted my app in late May! is anyone else having this type of difficulty?

I am in the same boat. I talked with someone from NYU that said it is a state requirement that I send them my official transcripts even if I already sent them to aadsas. I think that is a bunch of crap so if anyone finds out any different let me know. thanks.

i though aadsas don't sent out transcripts to schools anymore? Are you guys going to request another copy and send directly to NYU?

I repeat AADSAS will not send transcripts. They keep the transcripts you send to them to verify your grades on the application.


I would suggest having transcripts sent from your university to individual schools.

after reading this thread i called up nyu as well. they have everything of mine (primary, dat's, fee, lor's) except transcripts. they said aadsas is responsible for sending in the transcripts. though my gpa's were verified and calculated by aadsas almost 2 months ago, nyu said they are waiting for aadsas to verify the transcripts to calculate gpa and send them out. maybe she didnt realize that aadsas wont even send out the primary until they verify the transcripts.
she also said sending them transcripts directly won't expediate anything. they will only ask u for transcripts from u after u've been accepted.
seems like some miscommunication here...

I applied at the end of May and I sent in my transcript to aadsas only. I did however had to send in my high school transcripts because I didn't take english in university but did have an Ontario OAC English credit. About 2 weeks ago I received a letter from NYU stating that my application was complete and they are currently reviewing it.

Yes, AADSAS won't send out transcripts anymore. (Verified) However, I heard different things from NYU. First, the lady at NYU told me that it's aadsas's job to send transcripts. When I told her that aadsas won't send out transcripts anymore, she gave me the address and asked me to send all my transcripts to them directly. (they have to be sealed and official of course) Apparently, plp at NYU has no idea about the new aadsas transcript policy. The customer service rep at aadsas said all schools are informed about this tho. 😱 I had all my transcripts sent certified just right after I hung up with NYU. stupid aadsas!!!

i received a letter from NYU saying that they have everything of mine, and that my application was currently being reviewed...

i just let AADSAS do its job, and i never personally sent them a transcript myself...

anyone also receive this letter?

Received a letter dated 8/5/05...."Your application is now under review by the Admissions Committee." I did not send any transcripts directly to NYU, just AADSAS. I assume NYU will need official transcripts only after an offer is made. Same as other schools.

I received a letter from UCSF, they need my transcripts to consider my application complete. that sucks hopefully other schools require transcripts only after admission offer, otherwise I have to pay hunders just to send my transcripts, ( gone to 4 colleges, each charge $15, applied to 10 schools)

I got the same letter but I noticed in the letter it said nothing about the application being complete so I am going to make a call Monday just to make sure.
