Hey guys:

I really need some help here. I'm not asking for big philosophies, just think if you had to choose, which one would you go and any reasons would be great. They're both pricey schools and NYC and Boston are both good cities. I just needed some help, especially while comparing their dental programs.

would you rather see the red sox play or the yankees play? 🙂

So you're saying that New Yorkers always go to see the Yankees, not the Mets?

lol right.. i should definitely decide my dental school decision on baseball!!! I was a fan of Red Sox but I lost faith in them and I know Yankees are good. But any comments of comparison about their dental programs?

As you already know taht both schools are pricy....
I have a friend at NYU and a cousin at Tufts...they both think that their school is the best....

But NYU wins over Tufts due to their facilities (Iheard taht their simulation lab is very good), specially nice and friendly faculties and meeting lots of people....

Doesnt mean Tufts is bad but NYU is just a better choice + you r spending your four years in one of the best cities....Hell NYU

Hope this helps..

That definitely helps!! that's exactly the kind of comments i'm looking for!! Thanks man

i'm a big Yankee fan but no love from NYU 😡

I think cambridge would be much more livable for 4 years than that part of manhattan.

tufts is in chinatown, not cambridge.

this may sound stupid, but i think the choice really comes down to boston vs. NYC. both are pricey schools w/ fairly large class sizes (albeit tufts class is about 100 people less). true, the facilities at nyu may be top notch, but you're definitely pay for them.

i think both are great schools and i'd feel blessed to have the choice (i haven't heard from either school yet🙂)....but where would you rather spend your 4 years?

boston is beautiful, historic, and has tons of college students (something like 50 colleges within a 10 miles radius?).

nyc is nyc. the most known city in the world...so much to do. plus nyu is right there in the village (but note..$$$).

good luck w/ your decision.

jb!!

I've lived in Cambridge, MA for school and downtown Boston for work, and now I'm a first-year at NYUCD. Believe me you, I'll take NYC any day over Cambridge or Boston. The area in which NYUCD is located is Kips Bay/Gramercy, a decent section between midtown and lower east side chock full of apartment complexes, hospitals, and restaurants.

Also, Tufts Dental is smack in the middle of Chinatown in Boston -- nowhere near Cambridge, MA. One positive about Tufts' location is that it's near the Bus Terminal...

Yeah I agree with you guys. I'm thinking of going down to NYUCD again and talk to more students there. I didn't get a chance to talk to many students except the tutor guide when I was there for interview. I want to ask how they're handling the cost (tuition and living) and what they think of the school.
