they emailed me about an hour ago and said theyve sent out the letter, goodluck

what kind of contact did you have with them? (letter of intent, phone calls, emails to the dean???)

um nothing. they sent me an email yesterday telling me they were going to meet and discuss students and if i was still interested in being considered so i just replied and said yes.

ps- you wouldn't happen to be letting go of a spot at Columbia, would you?

guess that's why they asked for decisions by May 1. Did anybody else hear back, or call to ask how many spots there are?

Congrats to the person who got into NYU!!! That's fantastic! So, are you going there? And did you have any connections/parents who are faculty/etc? (not to imply that you aren't totally qualified or didn't get in your own, I've just heard that NYU is big on children of faculty).
