Hi all,

I am starting a new thread for the people who have been waitlisted. I was interviewed on 2nd May and my letter is dated 9th may saying that i am waitlisted. Plz post ur status if you have recieved any waitlist,rejection or acceptance so that we can have a better idea of how many people still stand
a chance.

i'm still waiting for a call and whenever i call them they say my app is under review.

Well aquafresh, I was interviewed last year..and have been waiting since then. I had a score of 85 back then. I sent in my new score (88) this Jan. It seems they still reviewing it.

Hi fido,

Thanks for the response. I know there are many people who just like to read and not write on sdn but i know few people who were interviewed the same day as me and they havent got anything until now.I am just hoping if i can get a rough idea as to how many are in the same situation.

I have been interviewed on may 4th but i didn't get any mail,hopefully next week .

As I posted in the other thread I was put on the waiting list only a week after my interview...

Does anybody know about any movement???

How many are in this list? how does it work? who will the pick? 😕

Hi all,
The admission office reported that the admissions for this year are over. All seats are filled and so far there are no drop out / cancellations.

Thanks for the info but there are dropouts every few days...as its not possible for 125 people to have everything they need to continue.I know three already and there might be more which i dont know about.So we just have to wait and see.

My husband hasn't been taken off the waitlist but I was wondering how do they inform you? Fedex, UPS or regular mail????? At any rate good luck to all of you guys!!!!!

NYU doesn't take anyone off waiting list. After offering admission to candidates from w/l (sometime in middle to end of July) adcom send letters to remaining waitlisted candidates (in middle of August) for reactivating their applications. It will be by a snail mail.

Thanks for the Info. Oh when I said taken off I meant accepted into the program. But anyhow thanks for your response. I'll be waiting for that acceptance letter Insha Allah :-D
 
Did anyone in the w/l get to know anything from NYU? When I called the admission office today, they said that there are no drop outs this year and the chances of getting admission to the w/l students are very less. She suggested me to reactivate the application and retake part 1 to improve my chances of getting admission for next year. Sorry if I disappointed anyone. Best of luck to all of those who are waiting.
 
Hi everyone!!!

I also applied at NYU but did not get any response. As logic, that means that I was not accepted, but does anyone know if they send rejection letters? I called them and they say that for this year the class is complete but they did not make any decision yeat with my application. I don't understand. Anyway, I started to study again for Part I.

I am in the exact same situation.... 😡
And I'd applied in September 😡 😡

I got accepted into BU. For those of you on waitlist, here is the good news...one of you will be in soon. I will call the school tomorrow and let them know. Good luck 🙂 🙂 Just remmember things can change, you never know but what ever happens, happens for good 🙂

Same situation. NOTHING. I called the admissions office and said to wait. I don't know until when.

I have received my acceptance from BU and will be joining there.
So, I will be letting NYU know abt my drop out.
I Wish some one in the waitlist get a chance of admission at NYU.

I called them last Thursday. They said 74 students are on NYU waitlist. It's goin to be a long wait..........

I recently got acceptance fron BU, so i sent withdrawl to Nyu.
All the best everyone.
In case anyone still needs housing in newyork or after recently hearing from nyu I might help. I got a huge appartment with my frnd and its a steal.

hi there,
i was interviewed too by nyu, but havent got any reply yet.........i am sure i was rejected.....coz my score ws way too low from the students i had with me there....do u have any idea if i can reapply if i get rejected....
