but it should start moving mid-April once ppl tell NYU it is the only school they are attending

I called this morning. My status is still the same but they said the wait list is starting to have some movement.
I've been going through old threads. Looks like people are accepted up through the end of July and in extreme situations until mid to late August.

Wow, late August? How can anyone plan financial aid or even logistics and housing with that late of a notification?

It was a few years ago and seemed like an extreme situation where a person posted that they had to withdraw due to an issue with their student visa. A few posts later another person said they got the call and it must have been the newly open spot. They had the same complaint about financial aid and finding a place to live but seemed thankful to have a spot.

i'm not sure if you'll be able to get government student loans (although i'm pretty sure you can), but you can most certainly get private loans at a reasonable rate for the first year pretty quickly. the discover health professions loan is at something like 6.8%i believe. and there's a 6 month loan deferment after graduation as well.
