Anyone heard any news recently regarding interviews at NYU?
oh, and how long into the year do they usually have interviews?

I called NYU today and the secretary said she's pretty sure they are done sending out interview invitations. She couldn't check the status though cuz their system is down today...🙁

I called NYU last week and the secretary told me that they would be mailing out invites untuil February. I am not sure if that means trhough feb or just until. I do remember last year that I had some friends who interviewed later in the Spring but then again last year AMCAS had all thos problems so it might not be a fair comparison.

that really sucks...i also called them before and they said they would be reviewing again the hold applicant in january...maybe they already finished🙁.

Do they send rejections all at once? I havn't received one yet so could that mean that I'm on hold? They've had my app since Aug but only just got my LOR's in late Oct.

Lakun I am in the same boat except they have had my app since August and my lor's since August as well. I haven't heard jack and I called last week to see if I could find out what was up and they said my app was still under review. I even called them in October when i went to NYMC to try to schedule an interview at the same time but they never got back to me. I am not worrying about it too much but try not to give up the faith. Good things happen to those who wait. And a small bribe never hurth either .😉

I sent in my app, transcripts and LORs to NYU in late Sept., then on 10/25 I received a postcard stating that my file was incomplete because I was missing two transcripts and my LORs.

So, of course I called. The woman who answered the phone found my transcripts in another file under my maiden name, but never found my LORs so I sent them FedEx the next day.

Thinking my app was complete after verifying the FedEx was received, I waited....

Then on 1/5 I got another one of those friggin' postcards stating they had not received my transcripts and the deadline was 1/6.

So, of course I called again and the woman looks in my file and the transcripts are not in there, they are in a lonely file again under my maiden name!!! She tells me don't worry about it!!


She tells me she will put my file on the top of the pile, like there is no such thing as rolling admissions and they didn't just take 3 months off my application


Anyway, I am completely over NYU, and if they are really not interviewing anymore, I am asking for my $100 back. Seriously, I am calling tomorrow.😡

Sorry to tell you guys, NYU is notoriously bad with their paperwork. I know people in pasy years that got the "Your applicaiton is complete and under review" postcard but never heard anything after that, not even a rejection letter. And people who were waitlisted, then never got the final rejection letter stating the wait list was closed. Sorry 🙁

I sent my letters the last possible day. Well, I tried to send them twice before but they just wouldn't seem to get there. Guess I shouldn't hold out too much hope for this one. sigh.

okay guys,
i'm seriously feeling emotionally abused by these schools! And when I post their comments, you guys get the emotional abuse too! Let me explain. Yesterday, I called NYU and was told that all the interviews have been given out and i could find out my application status if i called today. I call today and was told that all status announcements will be mailed in the middle or end of February so she couldn't tell me my status. AND ALL THE INTERVIEW INVITES HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN OUT! what is this? which is true??? i give up and have no idea! it's dependent on who answers the phone and what joke they want to play on me! AHHHHHH! All I know is that I would absolutely LOVE to go to NYU! Since everyone quit posting their interview invites on the appropriate thread, we have absolutely no idea if they are still inviting or not....okay, sorry to rant...just getting really frustrated...
