OB overseas rotation or fellow?

hi everyone, im a 2nd year OB resident in philippines,do any of you have info about overseas rotation or fellowship? i prefer in europe, US, japan, or hongkong. i really want to know about the medication technic and various treatment in developed country. right now im interested in laparoscopy or oncology.
i hope any one of u can help me.

What you are referring to is an "observership." Many insitutions offer this opportunity to physician from abroad who want to get a look at the American system for various reasons (i.e. deciding on going through USMLE/ECFMG process, moving to states, furthering their knowledge, learning new management options.)

Your best bet is to contact the "Residency Coordinator" or GME Office at the institution you are interested in attending and inquire further.

We have had several physicians rotate with us in this capacity. It was interesting as it gave the rest of us an insight into practice differences abroad such as Oxytocin receptor antagonists for tocolysis, AROM before Pitocin plans, etc.
