How much does a person earn during OBC? I know you're paid as AD 2LT but I know there is some other stuff to it. My recruiter seems to be rather ignorant on this subject. How much of it is received later, following submission of travel vouchers, etc. The only things I could find in the search were somewhat dated.

Also, do you automatically get a $1000 advance? If so, when do you get this?

I would also like to know how this whole paying for your housing thing works at OBC. I am totally new to all of this and don't have a freakin clue about these travel vouchers etc. Do we pay for the quarters out of pocket at OBC and then get reimbursed later by the Military or what. Any help would be great.
