Oh! Insane ramblings! I can do that!
Is gen. chem. still getting you down? How'd the homework go?
I haven't done ochem, yet. Just doing physics I and gen. chem. II this semester, along with 4 other classes. I was stressed out about that ahead of time because I'd heard that chem II was more difficult than chem I. I knew next to NOTHING about physics, and thought it might be my downfall.
One month into the courses, I can report that, yes, chem II IS a whole other level, but it's not bad, and it's much more interesting. The big (happy) realization is that physics, by comparison, is easy. Once it hit me that the two were the exact same math, both became easier. Phys I is the same math as chem II, except that there are fewer variables per problem; so, the solutions are simpler because they're more straight forward with way fewer steps. After all, chemistry really is just physics at a molecular level, and physics is just practical applications of math. Now I'm glad I took this batch of math, chem, and physics at one time because each helps me to understand the others better.
Is that enough insane rambling for you? I'm really just telling you to not stress out about the physics classes you have coming up. As for taking any of the classes over summer, it partially depends on where you intend to take them and whether you intend to cover one semester of one or both classes, or two semesters of one class.
It might not work very well to take a semester of either at one institution and then take the second semester at another. They could use different books, or there could be gaps which leave you at a disadvantage. Trying to do a full year's worth of a lab science over the summer is doable, but can leave you exhausted and not feeling refreshed and ready to hit a full fall schedule. I took 17 credits of math and foreign language this past summer, and and it really left me with very little time to unwind, or ever even feel like there WAS a summer this year. The thing about trying to cover 8 credits of lab science over the summer is that you wind up spending so much time in the classrooms and have a huge amount of reading and studying to do before you head back in the very next day.
That's my perspective on it right now. Next semester I might hum you a whole new tune when I'm trying to do physics II and orgo I along with another 4 courses. At least I'll be done with this ridiculous English class!
