How far in a general ochem sequence does the DAT cover?

At my school, we have OCHEM ABC, but I won't be taking C until fall of my junior year. I thought maybe I'd start early with the DAT...

how far up does it cover up?

At most they'll ask how to get from product A to B via 2 to 3 steps. At most though. Is that what you're asking?

Use Kaplan bb and Destroyer if you want good ochem coverage.

No man, I was asking the completeness of the ochem sequence. Like at my school, we have 3 quarters of ochem. How much IN DEPTH does the DAT cover? Say...to the 2nd quarter or 3rd? I looked at the ochem breakdown on the DAT and like 85% was covered in my ochem 1 class...

Yeah they ask some stuff that would be considered the last part of Ochem. A lot of it is the beginning sections though. The very last part of OChem would be the final reactions that we learn like acids and aromatics. What did you cover in Ochem B? Did you do IR graphs/NMR? What book are you using?

What does the third section of your course cover? At the end of my class we did sugar chemistry and some spectroscopy NMR type stuff all of which was important for the test

All of organic chemistry is on the DAT, regardless of what semester it is taught in your particular school. The can ask from page 1 in the book until page 800.
