What is so special about the october 15th date? I am reading on many threads that people are awaiting their decisions. Do all medical schools tell you on this date or specific ones? I am so confused; I always believed people were told about decisions via letters throughout the year.... first time hearing its via phone call.

Allopathic schools are not allowed to announce acceptances until October 15th unless you're an early-decision applicant.

At least that's my understanding of this date; I was not aware of it until a few days ago.

First day they are allowed to tell students they are admitted. A handful of schools will do this. Mostly it is throughout the year, though

It's when the new Halo game is being released. Or am I getting that confused with something else?
