Hello.

Yes, I'm being lazy and could (and should) look this up for myself. Hand is cramping from filling out transcript request forms...

Anyway, if it's fresh in anyone's mind, do you know of any schools that are adamant (i.e. anything received Oct. 3 goes in the recycling bin) about receipt of materials by Oct. 2? This is mainly for transcripts (really hoping to avoid rush fees...), which I know will be postmarked well before the 2nd but may not make it to the schools by that date.

Well... lots of hits and zero replies. Guess I'm not alone in not knowing!

The only places where it would really tick me off would be those that have supplemental fees, due on the 2nd, that would open the envelope, cash the check, and THEN tell me that my materials were received too late to be considered...

I figure as long as I submit VMCAS by the 2nd at the bewitching hour I should be okay, since I know a lot of people in the past have received postcards saying "App is incomplete -- School X transcript missing." That doesn't sound like instant disregard status to me! 🙂

This is yet another of the many requirements that vary school to school. I even saw one (can't remember which right now) that said transcripts and letters should be received by *September* first, but it could have been a typo. There are other schools that say you have to have VMCAS in by Oct. 2 but you can take the GRE anywhere up until Nov. 1 (think that might have been Penn - they say pretty explicitly that they don't start looking at the applications until like December). So anyway, you'll need to just check individual web pages...
