So it is very early in the interview season and I am already racking up an impressive bill from buying plane tickets, hotels, and whatnot. Does anybody that has been through it or going through it have any advice to make this process a little more financially palatable? I've thought about getting an airline miles credit card........ Priceline negotiator is great. I was a little nervous at first because you don't pick the hotel, only the general area, but I was extremely pleased with a 2.5 and 3 stars for 45 dollars on up.

I think Hertz has a free program (hertz gold) where you save a bit on car rentals.

SW credit card is also worth it if you have a hub.

Completely agree with the priceline negotiator thing. It saves you a bundle. Also many hotels even if not advertised will have special rates for interview applicants. If you use the "shopathome" website, you also get a certain % of what you spend as cash back. Also if you have certain credit cards, you'll get miles for free flights, hotels, etc.

I forgot about that priceline negotiator. Will definitely give it a shot.

Get an American Express card. If you get screwed over by anyone anywhere along the trail, dispute the charge. Amex is hardcore.
