Hi all,

So I'm a senior in college and I was was pre-PT until junior year. I've unofficially switched to a pre-med route. Freshman/Sophomore years I took gen chem 1&2 & bio 1 and did very poorly. I'm talking I got credit but got lower than 2.5s. I have an upwards trend as my grade began improving second semester of junior year , that following summer, and right now, as a first semester senior, I'm doing well in my biomechanics class and bio lab class. However, I'm failing bio 2.

Basically, I want to know if failing bio 2 is going to nullify any hopes of me showing an upwards trend. I'm taking orgo 1, orgo lab, and micro bio next semester and if I do well, will failing bio2 be as horrible? I of course intend to retake it.

Also, I've retaken quite a few classes (18 credits worth) primarily due to lack of maturity during my first half of college. I 3.5'd bio 1 after retaking it. I am maturing and relearning how to study and obviously my terrible grade trend isn't going to turn into straight 4.0s over night. My hope is to explain that self-improvement is a process and although I just failed bio (bc it was a morning class and I skipped too much, not bc difficult content), overall my grades are better. I've had to relearn to study, and relearn what self-discipline & time management are so I'm improving but still grappling with these skills I shouldve learned freshman year. I hope to not fail anything else for the rest of my undergrad as I have 2 semesters left.

Do I have a chance or did failing yet another class screw me over

No, the number of retakes don't matter. You will be fine.

It won't be a problem.

I sent AACOMAS an email because I wanted a response in writing, but no answer after several
Days. Can anyone shed light on this for me? I'm trying to figure out my schedule for next semester.

I took intro honors sociology my freshman year, and want to retake the course this spring. However, my new institution does not offer the honors level of the course. Would a course called "Sociology 110, Introduction to Sociology" from one institution replace a course called "Sociol101-H, Introduction to Sociology" from a different institution in terms of grade replacement?

The class will be replaced if the credit count is equal or greater and the content is similar/identical.
