Hi all,
I had 0 allopathic acceptances and was waitlisted at 4 schools. I was pulled off 1 waitlist last week and while I am thrilled, it was also my 4th choice among the 4 waitlists I had.
I heard that I can now use this acceptance as a bargaining tool. Is that true? Has anyone ever done that? I dont mean that I will give some kind of ultimatum but rather let the admissions committees know that I have an acceptance but am still waiting from them.
On the flip side, I heard that when you have been pulled off a list, the other waitlist schools tend to back off because they except you to commit to that 1 school. Is this true? Are my chances to be accepted to these other schools reduced because I have now been pulled off 1 list?
Thanks.
