I love my standing desk. I am also curious if anyone has recommendations for good chair mats to put on top of carpet. Not those crappy plastic 3x5 spiked ones from staples that crack in 12 months.

Hi everyone, I saw this thread and thought I’d comment: I recently purchased the WorkPro Momentum office chair from OfficeMax (at a pretty good discount, about $225 total after taxes, I think they may still be on sale) and I am really pleased with it. I’ve never had a good chair - my previous chair was an Amazon chair that I chose solely for aesthetic purposes rather than comfort, and after three years I had to give up the struggle and choose comfort/spinal health. This has been such a game changer though already. I’ve only had it for about a week, but I’m noticing less neck pain and better posture, and I actually like the head rest a lot more than I expected. I feel like I can adjust everything on the chair to exactly what I need and I’m really happy with it.
I’ll note that I’m about 64 inches tall and the lowest seat height allows my feet to be flat on the floor so that’s a bonus for me! I tried it out in person at the store first as well so that helped me make my decision if you have an OfficeDepot or OfficeMax near you! I would say the only con for me is that I am always cold, and the mesh back can make me even more cold. That’s the point of the mesh though, so it may be a pro for others, and it’s easily solved for me by wearing a sweatshirt. 🙂

Any updates for how these chairs have held up? The height adjustment cylinder on my current chair is failing. Want to upgrade the WFH chair and desk soon.

I went with the Omega. I like it for WFH, no complaints here. I use the head pillow as an extra lumbar pillow (I think it comes with 2 but can’t remember and too lazy to get up 🙂). It’s also been a hit with many patients who recognize the video game character on the chair (I picked it because of the color scheme, don’t know or care about whatever video game it belongs to). I lucked out and since I had recently graduated, a family member gave me about $100 to put toward it.
