Arizona DS1 classes begin on July 25th w/orientation lasting 2 days. Official classes begin on Wednesday, July 27th.

Since UIC has orientation so much later than SIU, that means that people on the SIU waitlist are screwed at gaining a spot from a student who is accepted at SIU, but then gets off of the UIC waitlist and decides to go to UIC instead. SInce SIU starts so much earlier, they would be 2 weeks into class before UIC starts. There are going to be spots vacated at SIU if students opt for UIC, and it will be too late to fill them! That stinks! 😡
