Thanks, guys! I'm just chuffed. I got an e-mail about 30-40 minutes ago asking me to call the MD-PhD office, and then I called, but they were busy on the phone with other applicants so someone took my number down and said they'd call me back. After what seemed like an eternity (it was prolly only a few minutes) they did and told me I was in! Yay!!! I've been having a tough week, and this news just cheered me up no end.

Solitude, I hope you get good news, too. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

i was complete in the summer, and havent heard anything. i called (politely) two times, was told i would be hearing something, and then nothing.

its bizarre! theyve been accepting, rejecting, etc!

Call the MSTP office and ask to speak with Dr. Lisa Satlin to find out about your application.

Some general info for you:
Mt. Sinai - accepts/rejects/waitlists after each round of interviews (the committee meets the day after the interview to make decisions which explains the quick turn around). They are having 4-5 interview dates (interviewing ~60 candidates total). The people who just posted were the results of the 2nd round, I believe.

(Oh, and when I called to find out about my status prior to getting my interview invite, they hung up on me!)

The call came from the MD program. They said that the "PhD side should be contacting you soon about scheduling the second look." I don't know how much to trust that statement since I remember quite distinctly from the interview them telling us that we will be invited for applicant review by the MSTP, not the PhD. Who knows? We'll just wait and see I guess.

Just got a call from the dean of the med school. What a lovely start to the day. 🙂 So to clarify for those who wanted to know, although the med school is non-rolling, the MSTP is rolling.
