However, my DAT scores were marginal at best.😀

Did anyone get an actual invite from Minnesota? I got an email that said when they were interviewing and that more information would follow. I've got an interview on the 19th somewhere else and am trying to figure out travel plans. And I'm not sure if I should be excited or not. Thanks.
 
GreatOMFSHope, the email I received from the U. of Minnesota stated my file was complete and to watch for information concerning an interview acceptance to be rolled out 2-3 wks. prior to Nov. 18. Therefore, I understand the email I received to be confirmation of my file containing the necessary information.

Do programs typically send out interviews on a single round or are there multiple distribution times?

Did all you guys apply to the 6-year route at Emory? Are the 4-year interviews on the same date?

4 year interviews are on the same days listed but just the first day of the two. This is because the 4 yr applicants obviously don't need med school interviews.

Fly into Dallas Luv/Love Field and I'll come pick you up and drag you to the hotel. And I guess I'll get you at DFW also. But that's 1 strike.

I will be happy to help as well.

It'll probably be 2 days again this year, but they don't always give you a choice. I know I was only given one date last year.

The date that was offered for UT med center at Knoxville was 11/15 with a dinner that night. (received invite via email 9/29)
 
False. People got different emails for different dates for UT-Knoxville. I was offered Nov 8. A buddy was on Nov 15, then another classmate was Nov 22. There may be more, but I know there's at least 3.

hey guys... I know in the past people have commented on the pros, cons, etc of each program they interviewed at and it made an awesome thread for many people (like yourselves) to look at and consider when applying to schools. I know there have been significant changes at several programs around the country and so I was hoping you all wouldn't mind doing it again. Could you give us all a little piece of your mind about the programs you visit? Your thoughts on their surgical #'s, environment, resident satisfaction, etc. Obviously I would understand if you would prefer to do this after the match. Good luck to all of you and hope to be able to post on this thread someday
 
Is it time to panic yet? I applied to 30 schools, 7 of which have sent out interviews and I have not received any. My part one is a 91 and@ lass rank is 20. I hace also gone on 4 externships and also got a publication.

Have you double checked that your email is listed correctly and everything isn't getting dumped in the spam folder? Have you called the programs to make sure the invites aren't just not making it to you, or that your application is fully complete?

I know some applicants already know these things can be important.

I have been getting emails stating that my file is complete from some school so my email is listed correctly. I guess it is a wait and see game right now.

last year my friend got an invite from Emory that went to Junk box! so do check it regularly
and yeah it is a game, i applied to 36 Ortho programs, half of which sent invites to ppl but me
so all we can do is just, unfortunately, wait 🙁
 
I don't have an interview at OHSU but the Interview dates per a resident will be:

Nov 18 & 19, with dinners on 17 & 18. They haven't been sent out yet though.

So plan accordingly.
 
no news from BU or Maryland...is east coast usually late? What do you know about the quality of the programs there? Did anybody apply?
