How do you guys remember dumb mistakes? To my knowledge I didn't have any but I wouldn't realize it unless I reviewed my wrongs and realized I didn't read carefully or what ever.

My scheduling permit disappeared but the system is letting create a new application and even extend my eligibility period which ends this month. I hope that doesn't mean I failed??🙁

hmm. I also see a tab for creating new application; it says "new" and has a plus sign underneath it. I clicked on it and it seems that I can submit an application for USMLE step1. I'm not sure if this is normal or ...

haha trust me.. you will be driving to school or reading the paper and suddenly you'll be like "wait a second.. did I put the wrong answer for that OBVIOUS question?"

I took it June 17th and I haven't had that moment at all. I couldn't remember a single question after I guess they all blended together into nothing or my brain willingly threw that testing experience out

I think we're just looking at two different pages. When I first log in, I see the "+ new" box that I can click. It's if I actually click "full details" on my exam info box that I see that my scheduling permit disappeared. Fear not!

I took it the 17th too. What did you think of it?

Well nothing specific but I remember walking out thinking there was way too few micro questions, few drug questions (which were very simple), and a metric f*ckton of ethical scenarios.
Not sure if forms are the same on a given day but I was pretty blown heading home. I wouldn't be surprised if my score on wednesday runs somewhere between 220-260 lol

July freaking 13th. Anyone else have an overwhelming desire to just hide in their bed and cry until then? I'll be rotating with a pediatric cardiologist that day so hopefully he can save me when my heart breaks when I see my score

We should have protected time off from rotations until we know our score. I can't focus on anything else.

Did you end up seeing a lot of path/patho phys w/some obscure anatomy as that was what I had on 17th

I took it the 7th and there was a TON of anatomy, and some weird ethics. Don't remember hardly any path, and only a few pharm. Super weird test

I had a few weird obscure anatomy questions as well w/some tricky biochem (but not a weakness for me) but some weird neuro and path which a portion felt like step 2 questions just upon talking to upperclassmen. Felt like I got hit by freight train

I still think it's weird that the link disappeared on a Friday and not a Monday. Perhaps a 10% chance of a release today - to appease those waiting since May.

Where do you see that you can extend your eligibility ?
I see it in IWA under begin a new application. I clicked on it yesterday and it started an application to extend my eligibility period. I find that weird but when I clicked on start a new application it let me start the application but when I chose step1 it indicated that I had a processed application on file.
I did screw up on my test day but I really don't think that I would fail the test.
Good luck everybody.

just wondering about the score release date
I know the "recent" rule has been: score release on wed only, Mon~Wed exam gets score 4th wednesday, Thurs~Fri gets score 3rd wednesday
does this rule still hold with the new (post-May 2016 exams) exam scores?

Hey guys. Logged into NBME.org to browse through this morning. Could anyone refresh what the permit link is suppose to be like? Was trying to see if it disappear or not and not sure what I'm suppose to be looking for. When I click on EXAMS, it shows a New icon and a USMLE Step 1 (actual) icon. When I click on the registration details on the latter, it just shows 4 columns - Apply, Schedule, Prepare and Score Report. Freaking out here.

On the home page where you see new + and the usmle step 1, where the blue message symbol is in the welcome banner, it use to be red and say something about a scheduling permit

I think you can apply for step 1 as long as there is no reported date of having took the step. Once that is updated at Oasis only then will you be stopped from continuing with the step 1 application

Img here 🙂 which website do u use for checking your score? I have iwa, oasis and nbme.org open. Iwa and oasis have no info about my exam while nbme.org says I have taken the exam at the scheduled prometric location...so who will have the score report... Or who will have it first... I just want to know that I am refreshing the right website when it's time :depressed:

Lol I told my interns my score's coming out this Wednesday and they definitely sympathize with me. Goodnight all these hours are brutal
Same. Thankfully(?), my intern and I work night float this week so I will be asleep when my score comes out and can just check it when I wake up.

How do we get our scores -- email? pdf? nbme site?
From my understanding, it's a link on the NBME site that opens a file (pdf?). If you scroll down, there will be a big box that says Pass or Fail. If you scroll a little more, there will be another box with your score.

I know someone who only looked at the pass/fail box, but waited a few weeks to look at their 3-digit score.

I got nervous scrolling down on this sample score sheet.

Is the NBME site down for anyone else?

Edit: Nevermind. Some jerk on Reddit said scores were up and people panic-checked the site. :mask:

I really wanted to do that here but couldn't get away from rounds this morning 🙁

I don't want glory. I just want high enough to secure my choice specialty at a program somewhere. I will be devastated if it's far below the specialty avg.

So if your site says action required with the red exclamation and something about the scheduling permit....no scores this week?

I can't help but feel that wednesday is going to be very awkward. There's going to be people walking by each other in halls some excited some blown as hell. People sitting together awkwardly in the hospital cafeteria not talking about scores. A very weird celebration at the bar after... weird day.

I think i may just check to see for the pass/fail box on wednesday, and then wait until friday to look at the real thing....
