It felt more like 17 than 18. As to what stuff- it's like, everything. It is not a hard exam, it just felt very broad and shallow. With your NBMEs you'll be fine if you don't overthink things. I fear I got too wrapped up in overthinking the questions and it hurt me a lot.

Thanks for the heads up. Fingers crossed on your behalf.

So are the rumors true that you passed Step 1 if your permit link disappears but you are still within your eligibility period?

Mine disappeared and now it says "Welcome: To start a new application for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK or Step 2 CS, click the New button below."

Is that normal?

I don't see anything like that on my page, but my eligibility period ended on June 30th. Under the schedule tab, mine says "scheduling is not available".

I think it shows that for us because we are still in our eligible period - others aren't and it doesn't show. It's that or we failed. I choose to believe the former.

I have some thoughts about UW overall percentages.

I suppose that UW percentages are aggregates of all UW user usage, whether their are unused, incorrect, marked, and more importantly, 2nd pass after reset. Because UW is used by all students, it will reflect the whole population.

For any single user, unless you're usage behavior is significantly different then others, your UW percentages should accurately predict your actual USMLE percentage (because its your overall performances over months).

For example, assume you finish your 1st UWorld at 72% correct (which is 84% percentile). Because your 2nd pass should be higher, your 1st pass and 2nd pass aggregate will also be higher. Therefore you should expect a USMLE percentile > 84%, which is nearly 250. (According to official website: 220: 31%, 225: 39%, 230: 48%, 235: 58%, 240: 67%, 245: 76%, 250: 85%, 255: 91%, 260: 96%)

Any thoughts?

Everyone uses Uworld differently, so I put very little stock in to my scores. Did my first pass during second semester of MS2 and did it as I went along with classes (not random), so I would expect my average to be inflated. My first pass was an 81%, second pass was all random timed 95% (which is obviously inflated as it was my second pass).

I don't get why people try to predict off of Uworld. Use NBME for that

Geez, somehow I lost track of when these were coming out. I do not feel mentally prepared for this yet.
I know that feel...

These next few days are going to go by very slowly. It's crazy knowing that our exams are graded and our score is out there somewhere.

How are those of you who also started MS3 able to even focus on studying well before Wednesday since it is creeping up now? Part of me is like "why am I trying right now when there's a small chance I have to do Step 1 again!!!"

Crazy. I already have to buy Step 2 Uworld for my shelf exams and my Step 1 score isn't even out. 😱

My bank account and I were so sad when I had to do that this week 🙁

I considered it but I refuse to buy UWorld before my Step 1 score comes out! I know I couldn't stomach looking at Uworld again already anyways...

That's my thought too. I can't get my step 2 mode on while the possibility that I failed step 1 is still looming. In fact, I haven't done any reading or studying for my current rotation. Until Wednesday im living in a limbo.

I am going nuts over here thinking about step scores. half of me thinks how could I have possibly failed, and the other VERY STRONG half of me thinks it's absolutely 100% possible that I did fail. I am going insane just thinking about my score. if I get a 191 I don't know how I will even face having to retake this exam. I wish the agony would just be over, and how I will even open my email without vomitting is another question lol

If either of us (or anyone for that matter) fails, let's stick together to make sure we make it through this okay! I feel the EXACT same way as you do. Haha

I've been doing my phd work for a few weeks now and it honestly makes the time fly by. I actually can't believe that the time has already come.

Good luck to everyone getting their score today, i know you all have worked hard and will do great!

It's the worst feeling and I keep thinking of wrong answers! Like more come to mind the more I think about them. Is this also happening to you!? :vomit:🙁

YEP. A few things have come up on rotations that have reminded me of things I missed that I hadn't already been dwelling on...

IT'LL ALL BE OVER SOON.

I just quickly skimmed thru this thread and realized that the scores have always been coming out on Wednesdays. Therefore, there's no reason to think we'd get our scores any time sooner. We've waited for weeks, so let's try to stay sane for another 76 hours.

I feel you, I started my graduate program literally the day after I took step 1 and have not had much time to worry about it. I have an important test on Tuesday so I'm hoping that will keep my mind occupied enough to prevent myself from going crazy. :boom:

One of the few times where I'm happy to have something else that is actively causing me anxiety. No time to think about my score when Murphy's law is taking effect on my new assay every. single. damn. day.

the 5 or 6 REALLY dumb mistakes I made have been haunting me since I left the exam. and there's about 20 total I've counted that I am pretty sure I got wrong. Which isn't a great feeling since I only remember about 30 questions....LOL

Join the club. I totally screwed up on easy ones because of the wording. It's totally on me but I also knew the answer they were going for immediately after the block ended. It sucks. It's life. I hope I can still break 230.

You can go back to the USMLE tutorial online and read it, but I don't think anywhere in there does it mention you getting an automatic fail for going over your break time. the red warning box was most likely to warn you that you had less time in your day left than you did for that last block. those people who failed step probably coincidentally went over their break time and also failed lol.

Thanks for your reply! You're probably right that it's a coincidence. (I'm probably just freaking out since scores are being released in just a few days.) Also, I think almost everyone on this thread is still waiting for their scores, so probably no one really knows the answer to my original Q anyway!

Am I the only one waiting for scores that ran over on break time and had a couple minutes taken away from the last block?

My scheduling permit disappeared but the system is letting create a new application and even extend my eligibility period which ends this month. I hope that doesn't mean I failed??🙁
