Congratulations everybody! I am very hopeless now since i have not gotten a single interview yet! I am a Canadian student with a 4.0 sGPA and 3.97 oGPA. My DAT scores are: 22AA, 23TS, 23 PAT. I have over 500 hours of dental shadowing as well as other volunteering experiences and i have a research publication. Can somebody help me with why i haven't gotten any invites yet and if it's normal or not? I would really appreciate any help

Thank you for the reply. I applied to 8 schools including Case Western, Buffalo, and Boston that have already sent out plenty of invites! I just try my best not to lose hope maybe it is just a matter of time and i should be patient.

I believe you're still considered an international student. There's very few international students accepted into each school. I'd assume that is why you haven't heard back yet.
 
I didn't think I would get any interviews at all since my GPA is still on the lower spectrum, and my 14 QR :/

Everyone is different. You made no mistake. If you are confident that your going to get into a school, and those are the only schools you would actually end up going to, then your saving your money. Some of us are sending applications to school because we don't know which one will choose us and we want to keep our options open, or some of us want to see what schools would offer them scholarships etc. There are many reasons, just like you had your own reasons as to why apply to only 3. good luck!

I applied to the same schools as a Canadian and also heard nothing back. There are some theories on premed101 that they give us interviews post December because we tend to not accept their offers and leave them to scramble when we get into Canadian schools in April.

Has anyone else heard from Tufts? One of my top choices and I thought it was odd there were no interviews for them yet. Just now saw this one...find it odd that only one person on here got an interview there!

I think the average is 15-20. Someone told me that for every 6 schools you apply to (if you have decent stats) you should expect 1 interview, but I don't know how accurate that is.

Wow that's a surprise to me. How does the average student cover the cost of that many applications and interviews? I guess some people are richer than I am.

I think the average is a bit lower at 10-12. I had my top 5 and my advisor told me to choose 5 back up schools since being rejected and having to reapply in the next cycle is more money and time spent. Like previous members have said, it really depends on how confident you are about your application in the end.
 
WOW looks like Md just sent out some invites. My app was about month after these so hoping the next round, maybe..... Have my interview with VCU next week....
