I know this is quite early but most American Students have finished giving the test for this year.
I am an IMG and have been prepping for the steps since quite some time and have seen Phloston, Transposony's and others' threads for their respective years and how helpful they have been.

I intend on giving step in Jan.. let's share timetables, plans and other stuff on how everyone intends on taking on this beast.

P.S. : I think it is not that early.. the 2015/2016 threads were started in September/October.. but in true SDN gunner style..i wanna start it in August.. 🙂

I think what my dean implied is that they told him that for sure they will release the scores for those who took it until jun 17th but that for people that took it later is less likely but I'm sure it's still possible

It's definitely possible according to the trends from last year which has more weight than your deans information imho

Hi all, Ive been lurking for the past few weeks. Im going to ask the question so many people ask close to the end of their prep.
I have two weeks left... any advice?

USWA 1: 234 (3 weeks ago)
NBME17: 209 (2 weeks ago)
NBME16: 230 (today/ 2 weeks out from my exam)

Ideally would like to hit that 245 mark. but would be happy with anything above 230 on the real deal.
NBME 17 made it evident that I had major foundational issues. Since then have gone over Biochem, genetics, immuno. Still feel like those might be weaknesses for me but I am at least less clueless at this point. Besides that It looks like physiology is consistently low for me.

Any advice on how people targeted their weaknesses specifically in physio/general principles in the last few weeks would be majorly appreciated!

And for the record, its pretty obvious that perception of an exam and score are not necessarily related.

So, my exam was legitimately very challenging despite my score. Claiming I have no right to call an exam difficult just bc i did well on it is like telling lebron james he cant say the warriors were fierce competitors bc he managed to beat them last year.

Yeah I can honestly say that waiting for my score has been the most nerve wracking experience ever. I don't even know what to expect at this point or how the test went. So yeah I completely get what you're saying. That's awesome that you scored so well though!

So what do you think the odds are of the week of June 19 being released tomorrow based on trends from last year during this same time period??

Seems unlikely since no one from that June 19 week has reported having their permit disappear. Although, I guess the whole disappearing permit thing is still an unsolved mystery... I sure hope they are released but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I hope the 19th scores are released tomorrow as well as that is when I took mine too!

I took mine that Friday the 23rd, and I read that it would be three Wednesdays from that date. I guess I am wondering if they will stack the test dates that were delayed due to the 4th or do all results from here until the last test date come out a week later due to the 4th.

i guess i should have reported this, my friend who took it the 21st said hers disappeared.

June 12 test taker here. I know my score will be out tomorrow, but i also know Ill be in the middle of some amesthesia case when it comes out. The temptation to step out for a moment to check is gonna bear on me all day tomorrow

Haha yeah I'm going to be in a similar position. Mine will come out when I'm in the middle of my family medicine rotation. I know I'm going to want to look, but I think I'm going to try to wait until the end of the day.

FWIW, my scheduling period isn't over for quite some time and mine disappeared this week, and i should get scores tomorrow. same story for many of my buddies who claimed the permit disappearing thing was a myth, until theirs disappeared a few days before they got scores (some unexpectedly) without their period ending either. i actually don't think it's a myth that it disappears before score release, but the whole pass/fail thing I don't believe.

plenty of ppl got their scores with permit still there. How do you explain that?

Lol this whole permit thing is crazy. People are so worried about the permit. If it's been 3-4 weeks, there's a good chance scores will be released tomorrow, regardless of permit status

lmao i'm kidding, no idea. just throwing out there that I believe there's some kind of correlation in some way. this has zero impact on me whatsoever, nor should it impact anyone lol, your score will come when it comes. who cares

When I logged into nbme this morning I saw a new notice at the top that reads "Request official transcript on the Records Page."

Is it a sign? Can this be the permit of our generation?
