I never saw that COMLEX score release table before; I didn’t realize they released scores In batches like that.

Step’s running... what? Two weeks until we get scores now? If it’s two I’ll get my score July 8th, and if it’s three I‘ll get it July 15th. And my comlex window is July 9th-13th.

I’m gonna get my scores right on top of each other. At least that will rip the band-aid off quick.

We'll be score buddies for Step I think!

I'm seriously bummed that I'm right at the start of the comlex window, I totally would've picked a different date just based on that alone lol

Sorry for so many posts, for those of you who said to know spinal innervations for comlex, do you mean like know that upper GI is T5-9 or something else?

I had a ton of radiculopathy questions on mine where they would give you specific symptoms of a compressed nerve and you had to figure out what nerve it was and then what spinal levels supplied that nerve. Unfortunately I did not have that stuff down and missed quite a few of those because they just kept repeating themselves. I really really hate COMLEX.

Trying to start a COMBANK test and it's legit been "loading" for 10 minutes. Guys I'm not meant to study for this exam clearly lol

26x on UW1, 24x on NBME16, 23x on NBME 19, 26x on UW2. Each staggered by about a week in that order. Step next week. Is uworld too easy on the curve, are the NBMEs overly harsh, or is it somewhere in the middle? Kinda surprised by my score differences because the NBMEs seemed way easier than the uworld tests..

Take a new NBME. You can't really tell from the old ones out side of 18

Dude NBME 19 is probably one of the hardest NBMEs out there and probably has one of the worst predictive value of any NBME other than the other two garbage NBMEs that are 20 and 22. Dont get hung up on 19 at all. 16 is more predictive but nothing is as predictive as UWSA2, 18, and your UWorld avg if its first pass timed random. A lot of people if they take UWSA1 4 weeks out average that score with their UWSA2 taken within a week or so before their exam date and thats decently predictive as well I would say you are without question 250+ and probably 260+. Very impressive scores dude. Youre good to go

I actually just listened to a podcast about the new NBMEs that was given by a few of the tutors at MST and they kept reiterating how little predictive value and the new NBMEs have (20-22) with exception to 24. They were saying how the questions are too hard and arent representative the real exam. I do agree with you about UWSA2 and 18 and also maybe 24 taken within a week or 2 before the exam along with your first pass timed random UWorld avg being most predictive.

I
I hear you. 20 was my best one though 🙁
My biggest fear is that I end up in the 220s on the real deal somehow

Looking for some advice from yall

I am a big flashcard person , but now that my exam is on Thursday, having 2000 reviews a day is really getting in the way of shoring up weak spots. I decided that besides pharm and neuro and MSK, i am not going to do my flashcard reviews for the last few days before comlex this thursday. This is kinda scary for me as I've convinced myself I will forget everything over the course of two days (absurd I know) and basically Im looking to see if anyone thinks this is a bad idea.

I am just starting to get concerned that I have some weak spots that I am not getting to because of the massive amount of reviews I have every day, and that this will effect me negatively come exam day.

I know that most of my posts probably come off as dramatic and I apologize for that, honestly I am just scared. I really do not want to mess up these two exams.

I stopped all reviews expect my Uworld deck. Suspended them specifically. At a certain point, I wasn't gaining anything anymore from them and chose to focus on weaknesses

I take COMLEX this Wednesday and haven't done any Anki since last Wednesday. I also had the fear that I would forget stuff but honestly I feel like the cards you know you know after this point, so the knowledge isn't just going to evaporate. I think your plan sounds solid.

What were your scores again practice wise?

For step? My highest NBME was a 230, UWSA1 was a 251 or something like that and UWSA 2 was a 241 or something like that. Real deal was 249.

My COMLEX scores are all over the place but I think I’ve only gotten 2 practice exams below 600 and my lowest was 570 something. I hope the panic attack during the first block didn’t hurt me way too much.

Wow that's awesome. Wish I can preform like that on my test day

My boy Zissou bossin it up with the 249!! Guaranteed you wrecked comlex too

I was convinced I got in the 210s a couple of days after mine. I’m still convinced I did terrible on COMLEX, I’m gonna find out in a week or two though.

Also convinced COMLEX is about to ruin my good post Step vibes. I only did one COMSAE that was required by my school and got a 533 and never touched a COMLEX qbank so I’m sure you killed it. My goal coming into COMLEX was 500+ but now I genuinely just want to pass. I think I had too much time between Step and COMLEX because I made way too many careless mistakes on COMLEX and flagged a lot more than I did on Step.

Guys I straight up just don't know what to do. COMBANK refuses to load for me. I watched all of the OME videos yesterday. I've done zero COMLEX specific practice questions outside of the COMBANK assessment our school made us take along with 105b, but I'm this close to just saying f*** it because it's just not working and I'm so over it. What should I do??

Maybe a different computer? Mine has been working fine. Do they have CS you could call? I would try and get it fixed cause the questions havve been quasi helpful for me, or at least give me enough motivation to put some effort into omm lol

Thanks for this suggestion, I'm dumb and totally didn't think of that. I don't have another computer but it seems to work on my iPad.

Do you have ad blocker on your browser? If yes, try deactivating it when loading TrueLearn. Sometimes they seem to mess with websites.

Edit: Anti-virus browser extensions or firewalls sometimes do that too.

Lol whenever I read the last sentence of a OMM stem it makes me want to not actually read the paragraph, I end up missing a key word, and then get the question wrong.

Finished OMM questions. Basically seems like you just have to make sure you really read the question so you make sure you realize what they are asking for. Got a few wrong where I put the diagnosis, didn't realize the question was asking for set up position or something like that. Don't think I'm doing anything more for COMLEX, may just rewatch some of the OME videos for a few hours tomorrow morning.

Shooting for 401 over here just so I don’t get the lowest possible passing score!

This is rationality and not paranoia: I am quite sure I did much better on step than comlex. I will be absolutely shocked if I don’t score at least 10 percentile points higher on step, and I am 100% fine with it. I literally don’t care at all as long as I passed. 😉

Thats what I like to hear!! comlex sucks/shouldnt even exist

Wow.... Got a 210 on NBME 23. Definitely the hardest one I've done so far. The questions were vague af. Kinda disappointed coz im 3 weeks out and I was really hoping to crack 230 on the new NBMEs.

Predictor still has me on a 241 but I don't trust it anymore.

Haha it was so hard to care when I took mine. My computer literally shut down 2 minutes before my 4th block ended (They were fixing a computer in another room and shut down mine on accident) and I was just like “meh whatevs”. I don’t think it could have been worse than comsae 105b though

I'm taking solace in my "I don't give an eff" approach by remembering 105b lol, I don't think anyone has really scored lower than they did on 105b so I'm pretty much just chilling lol. Guess we'll find out in 5+ weeks how that turns out 😛

Alright guys. Got the COMLEX confirmation call from Prometric this morning. Let's doooo it.

It's amazing how little I care after Step lol. Haven't reset my sleep schedule, literally just gonna roll in there tomorrow and go on autopilot. Kinda annoyed that we have less time for more questions and they only let you take a break after every 100 questions, but whatevs. So over it.

I took 102 back in March which is apparently one of the easier ones? I know that about half my class had difficulty passing that one on the first attempt though so who really knows. How is it possible that I’m more anxious about freaking COMLEX than Step? I don’t think I failed but I honestly can’t say one way or another where I felt pretty confident I at least passed Step. I definitely flagged more on COMLEX than Step because they kept hitting on things that were not my strong points. It doesn’t help that I made other dumb mistakes like mixing up the antidotes for heparin and direct thrombin inhibitor overdoses and forgot what acyclovir does in the last block. Ugh.
