Does anybody know how long it takes schools to recieve official DAT scores. I took my retake on July 24th and submitted the official scores that night. When will schools recieve them?

good question.. i know it takes the ADA 2 weeks to receive ur scores from ur testing site...so maybe another 1-2 weeks to send them out to schools ?

anybody else know?

2nd week wednesday (not counting the week you took ur dat) for your first 5 schools and the following day for the additional schools u requested. All electronic now btw 😛

So, would it be a good idea to request the official score report, even though my application has not been mailed out yet by the aadsas? 😕

I took my test on June 6th and when I called ADA a few weeks ago they said all my scores were sent out on June 14th or so. I have not confirmed that all my schools have received the scores, but I think they would get in contact with you if they were missing. I have received email's from all the school saying they received my application and to send in the secondaries and application fees, etc. I would think that if you just wait you will find out soon enough if your schools have received your DAT scores.

I am kind of nervous about calling schools and asking if they are in receipt of all of my application necessities because many schools indicate in their e-mails that they are extremely busy now and would love to be able to confirm an applicant's folder is complete but it is not realistic. I think I am going to wait another couple weeks; make sure all my fees have been cashed, etc., before going ahead and making a courtesy call to the schools in regards to the completeness of my folder.

just check in two weeks, and regardless of their busy-ness, its your chances of getting into the dental school so you gotta take advantage of it and push it to the limit.
