For someone who has been waiting for eternities, I thought you would be way more pumped up about it. I guess the grass really is always greener on the other side.

37 long days!!! At least there's Thanksgiving to smooth the wait over a lil tiny bit. I've already sent my list to Santa, I hope he delivers my present early on Dec 1st.

assuming u get mail at 3:00 pm ... (and from UMDNJ they said they send out SNAIL MAIL)
 
so are there schools that send out acceptance notifications via email? and if so, which ones?

dunno,predents.com says theyre interviewing people with higher GPA/DAT than me,so whatever. gonna call numero uno bright and early tomorrow morning and see if i can find anything out.
 
I am gonna call all of my schools at the butt crack of dawn on dec one for a status. It would suck to get a decline over the phone, it is too quick and with no explanation. But it is worth the risk!

I've spent so much time, effort and money on this process that I decided I'm going to all the schools that accept me.

i have been debating doing this. i don't want it to piss off a school i am really interested in attending. i think it just goes to futher demonstrate how neurotic i am 😳 . so, you don't think it looks bad/desperate?

when I was sitting in the admissions office waiting for my interview, one of the ladies handed the other lady a paper, rolled her eyes and said "Well, looks like he is now going to fax us everyday rather than calling us everyday. I guess that's an improvement." Pretty sure they were talking about an applicant 🙄 As long as you aren't doing that though, you're probably fine. 🙂

Is it possible for someone to annoy their way into dental school?? Like make them an offer they cant refuse, "if you want the faxes and calls to stop, you know what to do, I trust you'll make the right decision come dec 1st.." lol...

Are they going to change their mind right then and there at 7am EST? The schools I have been to have brought it up that they are prepared for that busy morning. I am going along with it.

nope. i am done with all of my interviews, so now things are *hopefully* going to be nice and quiet until dec. 1st rolls around 😀

they did send me a catalog though.
 
Each day goes by slower and slower...this process is so consuming!

Anybody else forget to set their clocks back? I showed up to work today at 5:45AM! DOH.

Also, I wouldn't freak out if you don't get that acceptance on Dec. 1st. It will take a couple days for those acceptance letters to reach you. This is unless they choose to update AADSAS the morning of Dec. 1st which I don't put a lot of faith into considering my status hasn't changed for months there.

It appears that way.

I sat in the lab in darkness for about an hour too before the automated lights clicked on. Thank god I had SDN...although I was the only pre-dental member logged on. Everyone else apparently was still snug in their warm beds 😴

sorry to hijack this thread but im not getting the advice. Can i just ask ive done my dental degree in india. Now i want to pratice in the Uk, what do I do. Sorry about this but ive posted many threads and no one seems to help.😕

It is probably because we have NO idea. My only advice would be try the international dental forum-they would be your best bet.

Chances are the UK has their own board exams that you will need to take to be able to practice there or at least some type of supplemental exam. Contact a dental school in the UK or whatever the dental accreditation service is they have over there. They'll know.
