Hi everyone! Can someone explain to me why some interviews (like Scott and White) are listed in both the invited category and the rejected category? Thanks!

The reason you see invites/rejections is because this is a COMPILATION list of everyone on the board (not for the individual person posting)...

Speaking of:
When posting, if everyone could copy and paste the most recent compilation, THEN add your newest interview/rejection, it would be really easy for all of us to see the most recent list.

That SUCKS!!! I was actually just thinking about how I had not heard anything from any of the programs, but after your post I am just going to shut up and continue twittling my thumbs.
 
i got my first reject today too. SUNY.

I guess I knew it was coming but its sad to see the first one.

Hopefully better news will come next week!

are you getting these interviews because you rotated there or do you really just have no connection to the schools and are getting interviews?

Wasn't sure if this question was directed to a specific post. Only have one interview so far at Hopkins and have no connection/did not rotate there.
 
Do the schools usually send out invites all at once for their multiple dates or does it happen in pieces? I am sort of crossing programs off my list as others say they are getting interviews but I wonder if that means I am pulling the plug too early. I guess all I can do is keep waiting but it sure does not look that good right now! I am on the motto right now that no news may be good news??

the only interview i've gotten is from my home school. NOT looking good for me! 😡
 
no, no....i don't think there is any reason to worry at this point. i got an interview from a place, that based on this board, had given interviews much earlier. plus, lets say you apply to 60 places and get 10 interviews...that's 50 rejections. rejections are going to be plentiful regardless.
 
I have 4 interviews, mostly local. One rejection (SUNY buffalo--for the above poster). I've been checking my email every 30 minutes.
 
I have no rejections and no offers, applied to 57 schools, so I have become a all-too-frequent email checker. (I am an MD/PhD cat with pretty good goods). Anyway, to avoid being tied to my computer I set up a filter so that any email offers will be forwarded to my phone as a text message: poof- I am free!

I do something similar..but since I have a blackberry I just have emails coming from myeras forwarded to my blackberry email address, set to a special beep. Yes kinda over-kill, and it hasn't beeped much recently 🙁

I think it's really stupid that some programs still use snail mail. Not sure about you guys, but I am all over the place and don't really have a reliable snail box box.

I hear you.

Even if this site makes me nervous as hell, I can't seem to stay away from it. I need SOMETHING to fill up my time waiting for interviews! :scared:
 
Adding Geisinger, hoping it's not a Georgetown fake. Georgetown really ruined the excitement about getting invites, I'm just waiting to get the "oops, not really an invite."

As for those with the Georgetown fakeout, I would say stop whining. There are those who didn't even qualify for a fakeout invite 😉

Regarding weekend activity, did anybody else notice that UC Irvine downloaded the Dean's letters on Sunday, day after they were released? And then sent out interview offers the next morning? I guess they already had their picks they were interested in but wanted another screen with Dean's letters. I know this program has sent invites, but has anybody received rejections from them?
 
What I tell myself is that so far, all the rejections I've received are places that were not high on my list....
