I applied to U of Wisc Derm and IM/Derm (separate applications). Today I received an email invitation to interview for IM/Derm that said I would also be eligible to rank their Derm program. At the same time, I received a Derm rejection.

Can anyone explain this?

Can anyone explain this?

So, I don't know how UW does it but I think most of the Med/Derm programs like you to either apply to the Med/Derm spot or the Derm spot, but not both? I'm not 100% on this, but it may just mean that they're still considering you for the Med/Derm spot, but not the Derm spot? Anyway, sounds like you got an interview so Congratz!

I got this as well, but my favorite so far was Penn State's rejection letter. It was so nice I actually felt like I had been accepted in a "no means yes" or "it's not you it's me" sort of way for a second or two.
