This thread is intended for the 2008 entering class at Goucher, and as well, for any previous students or members of the community who want to join the discussion.

First of all, congratulations! I have a feeling this will be an intense but wonderful year..

Now to start it off, one thing that's come up for me is the housing situation. I will be coming from the west coast and am looking at a car-less and furniture-less future in Towson. The Dulaney Valley Apartments are attractive cause they're close to campus, but less so since they're un-furnished.

Any ideas? Has anyone discovered any furnished housing in walking distance to Goucher? Is there anyone currently in the program who would be interested in transferring a furnished Valley apartment over to incoming students? Is this something Dulaney Valley permits?

Any thoughts on these or other issues are welcome. Thanks, and see you all soon!...

Hey there!

I'll be at Goucher this upcoming May too. I've talked to some alums who have told me that the best apartments to live in are at Courthouse Square. I've also heard alums sell some of their furniture at reasonable prices, though I think my parents are going to give me some of their old furniture.

Anyways, look forward to seeing you there this spring!

Hey guys!

I'll be arriving in May too. I don't know about the furniture situation but I'll probably be checking out the nearest Ikea if all else fails....

Can't wait to meet everyone in a few months!

Hey everyone! I'm going to be headed up to Baltimore in May myself! I can't believe we're going to be starting up so soon! I'm glad someone started up this thread because there are so few of us in the same boat. I keep thinking I'm missing something, so where are you guys along on paperwork (is there any?), etc.?

I've done my FAFSA and am looking for places to stay currently. Liza said they'd be sending packets sometime in April. I'm a worrywort by nature! 🙂

Hey everybody,
I'm actually from the Towson area and while I live here now, I'm also in the process of finding a new apartment before the post-bac program starts up so if anyone needs some help please let me know.
