My chairman suggested I go on all of my interviews offered - however, that is starting to become logistically and financially impossible. Does anyone else have suggestions on numbers of interviews they are planning on attending?

I think you hit it on the head. Sometimes dates conflict, and you just have to choose one over the other. due to time and $$, realistically end up being about a dozen(+/-) plus a couple of local gen surg.
 
Yes, I did get comfirmation from USF pretty quickly after I responded with my date choice.

there should be a rule. If you're going to send out invitations on the later side, your dates offered should be limited to at least mid January.

Northwestern will send out invites in mid december for a January 21st interview date
Arizona will invite "before the holidays" for January/February dates undetermined as of right now
Alabama is "looking at applications" and will not interview until "January 2012"
 
Just a quick update, for the sake of "0+5 completeness"

Albert Einstein/Montefiore will be starting their own 0+5 vascular program July 2012. It appears they are taking an internal candidate for their inaugural class.

I think they're just making a point to only offer the exact same dates as other programs!

UPDATE: USC (Los Angeles) should be sending out invites by the end of the week.
 
I got a date of December 5 and an automatic "delivery failure" notification in my e-mail reply. If anyone gets a contact phone number for E.H., can you please send it onward via PM?
 
Evas email worked ok for me yesterday and today, maybe it's worth trying your reply again. None of her emails have had a phone number in them unfortunately but I'm sure if you called the dept of surgery they could find her for you.

I've heard conflicting stories regarding USC and whether they will be taking an applicant this year. From the sounds of it, there definitely will be a spot open for this year?
