I know a lot of people mentioned this already. But it seems like schools are a lot slower this year.. On this day last year, the Official Acceptance thread was up to pages 23-24. We only have 7 pages of invites. :/
 
So I have gotten 2 interviews up until this point that I havent got a chance to post.
School: Midwestern AZ , NOVA (TODAY!!!!!!!)
Notification date: Aug 7th, Aug 20th
Method of notification: Email , Email
Residency:California
AADSAS mail-out date: 2nd batch
Application complete date: Aug 3rd for both
GPA (science, overall): 3.78, 3.86
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 21, 21, 20, 16 (yes 16 on RC boo!)
Great amount of shadowing and EC volunteers

I feel like this has just been a bad cycle to apply in general. Of all cycles, we picked the one where Predents had to die (PDizzle where are youuu). Admissions has never been more competitive, things seem to be moving slower than usual, and we got stuck with DoeAdeer 😉

Sounds cliche to say that things have never been more competitive and arguably incorrect....

Number of applicants are going down (albeit slightly though probably not significantly) and more schools have opened since that peak in 2007. Finallyyyy got my first interview invite. I have to admit I was starting to get pretty nervous after seeing practically a million people on here posting about invites. Still have my fingers crossed for the texas schools. Wish me luck and good luck to all!

AADSAS mail-out date: i have 2 dates in my portal. july 13th and july 20th so i'm not exactly sure which batch i fall under.
Application complete date: the last thing received was my DAT score on july 17th
GPA (science, overall): 3.7something science, 3.7 something overall, 3.6something BCP
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 21/21/20/22/nothing below 20
 
Expect activity from Maryland soon! They updated my AADSAS finally.
 
My AADSAS was updated as well to received/under review. Although it says the decision date was 7/26.

I didn't know UW gave interview invites over the phone...for some reason I think you may have meant Western University...but you wouldn't make a mistake like that would ya?

oh man i have similar stats as you 3.78 ogpa and 3.86 sgpa 21aa 21ts and 16 rc
i thought i dont have a chance at upenn so i didnt bother, maybe i should've 😕 🙁

Is your notification date the date of the postmarked letter? Or when you got it in the mail?

when'd you submit your app? i think mostly only the first two or three batches were considered for these current interview invites (at least that's what i hope because otherwise i didn't get one haha).

I was in the second batch, got their confirmation of application complete letter mid july, darn I was hoping for an interview, just saw someone in CA get one , but i've just seen 1st batch get interviews so far, so i don't know

Typo? Your DAT numbers aren't possible...should be about 20AA.

No its not a typo.. my DAT scores were just all over the place. 19bio/29chem/28ochem/20PAT/19Read/16Qr 22AA/22TS
 
It was mailed on 8/17, and I received on 8/20.

Sorry for saying you were wrong, I must misunderstand the way the test is scored. I always thought TS was:

(Bio * 0.4) + (GC * 0.3) + (OC * 0.3) which would give you a 25TS. The equation has worked for every breakdown I have checked before.

And all scores averaged besides PAT I thought was the AA...which correctly gives you a 22.

Either way, congrats on the interviews and good work on chemistry haha!
 
For WesternU interviewers, did you guys get a confirmation e-mail after the phone call?
