interesting sillydoc. we have very similar stats and very similar responses from schools so far. same number of interviews. my one acceptance is SUNY Buffalo.

i had a hiatus for a couple of weeks and then got an interview from BU last week. so i am, for the moment, a hiatus success story.

I was on hiatus for a good 4+ weeks until last week when I got two interviews in one day. Moral of the story: Hang in there!!😀

I'm complete at 22 schools, many since the beginning of September, and no later than mid October. I'm going on 10 weeks at some schools, and I haven't heard a single thing; no interviews, waitlists, rejections, or holds.

Are people getting interviews from their alma mater even tho their stats are low (in my case, very low) for that school?

My last interview was a little over a month ago...and everyone else has basically been mum. I'm keeping my fingers cross that my holds will unhold me (they can embrace me instead).

I too am on hiatus. My first invite came labor day wekend. The last invite came oct 10 but it feels like AGES ago..

I'm hoping the schools that haven't invited me will show me some love. Maybe the second wave.

I'm also thinking of writing update/interest letters... anyone have thoughts about letters of interest and their impact on an application/interview invite?

How about this, Hiatus for 7 months last year, until i got my first and last interview invite (for the 2007 year) at my state school, then reapplying this year and Hiatus for a good 2 months...😀

no no...not hearing anything isn't necessarily bad news. Just wait, you will be surprised epically if you applied to a lot of school.

ha! my alma mater is Cornell, soo, being as its hard enough to get in period, i doubt they give Cornell undergrads any special treatment, unless you are a god.

when you break hiatus you should give a bit more info. how long were you waiting and where did you get an interview?

Same here countthestars, my alma mater is UMich, and so far they're showing no love whatsoever. I hope you're right though, and I get some surprises eventually.

im loosing my marbles a bit over here too. Applied to 15 schools, got my state school acceptance 5 weeks ago and its the ONLY school ive heard from, no interviews/rejections or anything from anybody else. Im happy to be in but I really want out of state and the suspense is killing me!

for some reasson it seems that in Tennessee they prefer out of state people, even in state schools!! that sucks for me...that's why I apply to school out of state.. hopefuly it will work.

Wow, this sucks. 2 rejections. 1 interview invite. Nothing else in almost 7 weeks. I hate to sound like a classic premed, but I'm losing hope...
